World Championships anti doping controls:
The anti-doping unit, located in the Henri Oreiller Centre (see Val d'Isère map), is to be managed by Dr Rousseaux-Blanchi.The anti--doping controls are to be carried out according to 2009 control standards as laid down by the AMA and the FIS anti doping rules and regulations in compliance with the international anti-doping code.
Controls will be carried out by the French Anti Doping Agency (AFLD) according to a tripartite convention established with the FIS and the Organizing Committee. There will be one compulsory anti-doping control per race (involving the first four competitors per race plus two competitors chosen at random). They will be performed by two doctors (one male and one female) appointed by the AFLD.
Athletes must be in possession of some form of identity at the time of the control (i.e. accreditation card). They will be under an escort's supervision from the time of notification up until the anti-doping tests have been completed. The 14 escorts are to be fully trained according to AFLD recommendations.
